Shock of my life

Yes it is a shock for me. My boss got promoted and packing to his home town. He was the one to hold my hands and walked me through all the down times at work. He is the one who interviewed, trained and taught me all the tricks to survive at our workplace. I have a very special bond with him. He is my mentor at work.

Not a single morning I forgot to say “Good Morning Richie”. Not a single day he forgot to tell me off for not having my meals at time. He even threw a big surprise party for me for my birthday. He says I remind him of his own kid who passed away at birth. [Daughter]

Now he is leaving!! How can I take it? I am shattered. Head office gave him a very short notice. Today is his last day with us in our branch. We had a small party and I have started crying. I ran into the ladies during final meeting.

But I guess it is life. There will be a new boss sitting in that room from tomorrow. I will miss him badly….
